Systems Interface complete NDB installation at Norwich International Airport

Systems Interface, based in the UK, has supplied, installed and commissioned a Nautel VR125D NDB Transmitter and 250W Antenna Tuning Unit, complete with Full Remote Control and Monitoring, to replace the existing end-of-life Non-Directional Beacon at Norwich International Airport.

Installation and Transition was completed in early July, on time and within budget.

This contract brings the number of Nautel NDB’s supplied and installed at airports worldwide by Systems Interface to over 170 systems.

As agents for Nautel Ltd of Canada, Systems Interface maintains an extensive bonded parts depot at its UK facility to provide on-going support for all Nautel NDB systems allowing expedited parts delivery to customers in the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The Airport’s Air Transport Movements, fixed wing and rotary, totalled 22,898 in 2015 and passenger numbers exceeded 459,000.
