Military Aircraft Camouflage Coatings
We understand that defence aircraft require special protection. Creating coatings that reflect infrared waves, visibly camouflage aircraft, disrupt thermal image readings and provide resistance from chemical agents are just a few of the innovations we offer to protect the assets of air defence customers around the world. Whether it is a fighter plane or transport carrier, OEMs and militaries across the globe count on AkzoNobel to serve and protect.
Aerodur® 5000
Aerodur® 5000 is a two component, camouflage, polyurethane topcoat created to protect military aircraft with little work and great results. With an exhaustive study to determine the ultimate combination of raw materials, and years of development including flight test results, we are confident you’ll be pleased with its performance.
Aerodur® 5000 has sophisticated camouflage design blending properties, which makes the coating extremely forgiving. For any level of experience, Aerodur® 5000 provides maximum film build without sags or runs, yet maintains enhanced blending properties and eliminates difficult tiger striping problems by providing excellent ‘wet-edge’ performance - no ‘tiger stripes’, sags, wrinkles or ‘pin holes’ (solvent popping).
Military Ground Equipment Camouflage Coatings
Field deployments to different parts of the world require the ability to quickly change camouflage coatings to suit the new visual environment. With color and protection in mind our forward-thinking creates products like our temporary, peelable coating that can also absorb chemical agents. Advanced thinking like this not only protects equipment but also a military’s most valuable assets; its people.
