Brugg Cables will be participating at the EUROSATORY – International Land + Airland + Homeland Defence Week Exhibition and Conference in Paris from 14 - 18 June 2010.

The Division Security & Defence of Brugg Cables is the supplier of tactical fiber-optic cable solutions for military, homeland security and broadcast applications. The product range covers tactical cables on reels of various sizes, from the small hand reel for short cable lengths over backpack medium size applications to large drums for vehicle deployment as well as long cables of 5 km or more. Beside the tactical cables with different connectors according to the customer’s requirement a large range of accessories like adapting cables, cable clamps, telescopic masts etc. are delivered. For the maintenance and the long life span of the cables we offer deployment training, measurement tools, repair cases along with specific training of these, according to the customers individual needs.

For the first time Brugg Cables Security & Defence Division will be displaying at the Swiss Pavilion the following hardened devices:

•The “Media converter” for the conversion from fiber 1000 Base-LX to copper Ethernet 1000 BaseT for outdoor applications for harsh military environments, applicable to extend an Ethernet network by tactical fiber-optic cables over long distances.

•The “Wireless Access Point” for the secure connection for several users in a small area with data rates of minimum 1 Mbps for data and voice applications (VOIP H323, SIP).

Beside this we shall show our range of tactical fiber-optic cables, including military lens connectors according to MIL standard and accessories like the wedge clamps, for fixing our cables to avoid tension on the connectors. We shall show the new improved tactical fiber–optic cable BRUtough, which fulfills the MIL-PRF-M85045 standard with a low bending radius.
