Multi Threat CBRN Ensemble
The Single Layered MiTE delivers lightweight CBRN protection - ideal for Search & Rescue Operations and Incident Monitoring
Lion's MiTE CBRN protection ensemble provides versatile, lightweight, comfortable easy on/off protection and is ideal for search and rescue operations and incident monitoring.
The MiTE is actually the new Europe-specific version of Lion's proven MT94 multi-threat CBRN protection garment. Both provide one of the highest protection levels for any single layered CBRN garment. The MiTE blends the proven protection properties of the MT94 with new European design details to create one of the most versatile, lightweight, comfortable easy on/ easy off CBRN protection garments in Europe. Both deliver optimum protection integrity whilst making available highly convenient functionality, enhanced mobility and dexterity, permitting very fast donning (under 5 mins ) and doffing. They allow for a much greater range of unencumbered movement than a fully encapsulated garment, allowing the wearer to crawl, climb and run with significantly less restriction and physiological burden than other garment types. They can be worn for up to four hours. Highly compactable, they can be safely stored for up to 10 years, can be laundered 6 times, can be effectively decontaminated using typical HazMat wet decon methods. The garments have integral boots, WL Gore Chempak UB gloves and have been tested with a range of CBRN respirators.
Multiple Hazard Rapid ResponseCBRN Garment
The multiple-hazard Extended Response Suit ( ERS ) is a rapid response garment which offers significant protection benefits to the police, bomb disposal, search and rescue and special forces. It is designed to be easily stored in a vehicle to facilitate the most immediate deployment possible. The one piece, front-entry suit can be worn for an extended period, effectively meeting the uncertain and prolonged operational needs of an incident's 'warm zone' by providing lightweight easy-on multiple hazard protection.
NFPA 1994 Class 3 certified with a MSA Millenium respirator, the ERS is a lightweight coverall with integral booties and gloves. The WL GOREtm Chempak® Selectively Permeable Fabric is liquid proof and air impermeable, blocking many harmful warfare agents and toxic chemicals. However the fabric is also moisture vapour breathable, allowing for heat exchange, decreasing physiological stress and enabling longer mission time. Donned in under four minutes, the ERS can be permanently stored in a vehicle and has a shelf life of 10 years. It can be washed and worn up to 5 times. The fixed glove system allows users to choose their external gloves for improved dexterity in specific tasks. Suitable for many operational requirements, external WL Gore gloves are supplied. Certified to NFPA 1994, Class 3.
The Mass Incident Garment - for law enforcement crowd and perimeter control at high profile events
Lion's Mass Incident Garment ( MIGZ3 )is designed for law enforcement in perimeter control scenarios and counter terrorism efforts at high profile events. It is a two piece garment that integrates with standard duty gear, enabling First Responders to operate discreetly whilst providing complete mobility and advanced chem-bio protection. The MIGZ3 is made with lightweight GOREtm Chempak® Selectively Permeable Fabric and is certified for 'warm zone' operations where hazardous chemical and biological agents are anticipated or identified. The MIGZ3 protects against lower levels of vapour and liquid concentrations that may be encountered in the 'warm zone' when deployed with the proper ensemble elements. Certifed to NFPA 1994, Class 3.
The Improved Chemical Garment - for protection against some of world's worst chem/bio threats
Developed with the US Dept of Defense's Technical Support Working Group, Lion's Improved Chemical Garment (ICG) CBRN ensemble is a one-piece top-entry suit designed to protect against some of the world's worst chemical and biological threats. Blocking out high levels of CBRN agents that may be encountered in the 'hot zone', it allows for easier doffing whilst providing advanced protection when facing the unknown. The ICG combines rugged GOREtm Chempak® Ultra Barrier Fabric laminated to a tough Nomex outer textile to offer lightweight and comfortable multi-wear, multi-threat protection. The ICG is certified to NFPA 1994, Class 2 and NFPA 1992.
The CB-Xit - world's first integrated CBRN protection for firefighters
Lion's new Janesville® CB-Xit™ is the world’s first, fully certified NFPA 1971 compliant structural firefighter turnout ensemble that can also meet CBRN protection criteria. The ensemble looks like regular turnout gear and incorporates the mobility and comfort features that firefighters expect from Lion turnout gear, but the CB-Xit™ also delivers the added assurance of CBRN protection. It works by combining the form-fitting, contoured mobility features of Lion’s V-Force® turnouts with the chem-bio protection of W.L. Gore & Associates’ GORE® CHEMPAK® barrier technology. When properly donned, the CB-Xit's CBRN protection is always ready to help the firefighter escape at the first sign of a CBRN incident.
