Merlin Diesel Systems Ltd is a multi-agency company totally dedicated to the supply of spare parts, test equipment and service for diesel fuel injection systems.

The name 'MERLIN' has been associated with diesel fuel injection test equipment since 1947, when it was manufactured by engineers C.T. Rhodes of Halifax, West Yorkshire, and later, in the early 1960's, Merlin International (Engineers) Ltd of Preston, Lancashire.

In 1991 Merlin International (Engineers) Ltd was purchased by its present owners and relocated to modern premises at Walton Summit Centre, Preston, where the business was restructured and a new range of test equipment introduced.

The product range covers automotive, marine, rail and power generation applications and includes test equipment for electronic unit injectors, common rail pumps & injectors and electronic governed fuel pumps.

In addition, special test benches can be manufactured to customers own specification.

New leading edge products are the Merlin 3000EM and MM8-15 CR Test Stands, Merlin S3000 Common Rail Test Kit and the Merlin S300-1 Common Rail Injector System Test.

In addition to manufacturing new equipment, Merlin always has a comprehensive selection of used diesel fuel injection test equipment available. The test benches can either be bought as seen or as fully reconditioned units carrying a six months warranty. Spare parts for test equipment are also available.

In 2001 the company name was changed to Merlin Diesel Systems Ltd when our new parts division was introduced. Offering diesel fuel injection pumps, injectors and associated spare parts such as nozzles, gasket kits, filters, lift pumps and glow plugs, we have expanded rapidly and are now one of the largest distributors of diesel fuel injection spare parts in Europe.

Being authorised distributors for Delphi, Bosch, Denso, Zexel, Stanadyne, Woodward, VDO (formerly Siemens), Monark and Yanmar we have over 30,000 part numbers available ex-stock and more than 235,000 part numbers available within 24 hours.

We also stock a comprehensive range of new and reconditioned fuel pumps and injectors available for all the latest common rail applications.

Diesel Fuel Injection Test Equipment

These are repaired and tested in house in our hi-tech diesel fuel injection workshop and vehicle diagnostic centre, which is staffed by more than 17 fully trained technicians.

With the latest diagnostic test kits from Bosch, Delphi, Zexel and Denso, we are able to diagnose and repair all diesel powered vehicles.

Following the acquisition of Auken Autoparts in 2005, Merlin are now distributors for Mann+Hummel, Fleetguard, Delphi, Bosch. Donaldson, Baldwin and Sogefi (formerly Coopers, Fram and Crossland) filters.
