In 1989 Colin Howard, Managing Director, began manufacturing NightSearcher products, designing and specialising in rechargeable lighting solutions. These products were specifically supplied to the Police, Fire Services and industrial markets, where NightSearcher has developed a high reputation for quality and service.

Military Portable Floodlighting Systems

The SOLARIS is a new range of portable lighting systems. It has a newly designed lamp head, which is equipped with an internal aluminum heat sink system and a polycarbonate front lens, making it extremely strong. It uses 18 High Powered CREE ® LEDs per head making it incredibly powerful and giving light output of up to 12,000 lumens. The Solaris range offers high/low/flashing options and is designed to pulse every 30 seconds when the battery is running low. It comes with a red “stand by” LED allowing the user to locate the lamp when not in use. With advancing technology, the Solaris range is now equipped with an emergency function whereby in the event of a power cut, whilst charging, the units will automatically illuminate. It is enhanced by highly advanced optics to give you optimum light output. It is supplied and incorporated in outdoor case, which will benefit you with its robustness and unlimited lifetime guarantee. Complete system can be assembled in seconds.

Military Portable Rechargeable Floodlight

The MEGASTAR is the most powerful portable rechargeable floodlight; it uses 4 x 36W fluorescent tubes giving a light output equivalent to a 1000W tungsten light. It can be switched between high and low light levels. This unit is supplied complete with a light head, extendable tripod, 12V 24A/h or 38A/h power pack and an intelligent mains charger. The robust, lightweight aluminum tripod has double extending safety locking sections that can be secondarily secured using the attached locking pins. The tripod locks into the powerpack utilising the weight of the powerpack to give stability to the light and tripod. The MEGASTAR is suitable for emergency services, military, construction and maintenance sites, sports events and other temporary lighting needs. Six units will illuminate an area of a training football pitch.

Military Searchlights

The PANTHER is a very powerful, robust and rechargeable searchlight, with both distance spotlight and local area floodlight beams. It is used for professional applications by emergency services, utility companies, security organisations and both military and civilian rescue teams. It is also virtually unbreakable, incorporating a toughened lens and a shock resistant polyethylene plastic casing. It can be used in all weather conditions.

The rechargeable PANTHER HiD has all the benefits of the normal PANTHER range, but in addition, offers the latest technology of High Intensity Discharge Xenon Lighting. Unlike conventional filament lamps, with HiD xenon, the light is created by an arc of gas in a small glass sphere. This makes the lamp efficient and powerful, giving over 3 times more light output than our regular PANTHER. This also produces a much whiter, more natural light colour. It operates for 2 hours per charge on main beam. The PANTHER also has a secondary lower level light using the powerful Luxeon 3W Star; fitted with a special lens for a concentrated beam. This will operate in excess of 20 hours per charge and has a 100,000-hour life. The PANTHER HID is powered by a Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack (NiMH), these batteries are much lighter when compared to sealed lead acid batteries, and can be recharged at any state of discharge without any risk of restricted memory.

Flashlights / Tactical Torches / Gun mounted Torches

The COMMANDER is an incredible flashlight utilising the latest in LED technology. Fitted with a high-powered MCE CREE® LED, it has a very low battery drain and unlike filament bulbs, they are unbreakable. Lightweight, small and compact this is the ideal flashlight that can easily be used as a searchlight, with a beam so great it is visible from 3 miles. The COMMANDER has several functions including the “strobe” mode used by the emergency services to disorientate intruders and criminals and “SOS” mode for urgent situations.

Tactical Torches

This tactical flashlight utilises the latest technology in CREE® LED, giving a light output of 120 lumens. With precision-machined aerospace grade aluminium casing and an unbreakable polycarbonate lens, this robust flashlight is shock and water-resistant. It uses a precision reflector to create a smooth beam without spots or rings. The case is manufactured for non-slip and comfort design. Supplied complete with two switches; a pressure/push button/momentary and a tail end constant ON/OFF; mounting bracket and batteries.
