Airolusion Ltd specialise in creating, designing and manufacturing bespoke Blast Resistant Containment Vessels with a wide range of Defence, Manufacturing and civilian applications.

Containment Capability

The Blast Resistant Containment units come in a range of sizes from 500 mm to 1500 mm in diameter

Explosive Containment capacities range from 150 g up to and in excess of 5 kg of C4 (13 lbs TNT).　

System Processes

The ‘Vorsphere’ incorporates three significant design factors: 

• Over pressure is reduced by at least 35%
• The containment of all fragmentation
• The ability to re-use the apparatus over and over again.　

Test Assessments　　

Units have been successfully tested by the United Kingdom Home Office at 2 & 4 kg of C4 Development, field research, trials and corporate presentations have been held at several sites around the world on the ‘Vorsphere’ range from its smaller 500mm composite units up to its 1500mm, 5 kg of C4 Containment Vessels. All under the close scrutiny of explosives professionals and engineers.  

 
Functions

Vorsphere units are presently being utilised in:

• In Africa for demining and EOD
• In Airport Security Staff training programs
• In the US on commercial manufacturing production lines
• In a number of countries by security service personnel

Flexibility & Manoeuvrability　

The units are Re-usable, manoeuvrable and can be carried aboard any mode of transport. The units do not have to be secured to the ground and can be moved at random to suit location or requirement. Vorsphere units are manufactured on a bespoke basis to suit size, weight, interior containment specification and overall explosive containment capacity. They can be manufactured to fit through doorways, aboard their own trolley's or on a fixed stand to be located as a fixed unit.

Equipment

The units can be supplied with internal liners, separators or containment lids. The Vorsphere can be provided with its own individual stand, trolley and or trailer. 

Applications

A wide range of assorted Explosive devices can be placed inside the Vorsphere Blast Resistant Containment vessel for the safe containment, removal and or detonation, manually, with extended manipulators or with robotically operated vehicles (ROV’s) The units can be easily and safely transported to wherever the explosive device is located. Once the explosive device is placed inside the unit, the explosive device can be safely removed to a safer environment for disposal by detonation or with the use of a disruptor or de-armer.

Product Range

The smaller composite units are ideal for letter bombs, smaller potentially explosive packages and detonators with capacities up to 150g. The 500mm steel units whilst being able to contain 500g of explosive can be re-used on an on-going basis. The 1000mm plus units are for the safe containment and removal of high explosive devices.
