Military Environmental Control Systems

CMCA specialises in the design and manufacture of precision air-conditioning systems and environmental control equipment and offers a range of equipment designed to operate in the most extreme environments on earth. Systems which routinely and reliably perform exactly to specification in environments so extreme that simple survival could be considered a success.

Systems ranging from mobile air-conditioning units designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -46°C to +58°c to military packaged air-conditioning systems. Specifically designed for use in military vehicles which have to travel across rough terrain and operate in environments from the Arctic to the desert.

Military Power Generation Systems

CMCA designs and manufactures electrical power generation equipment and specialises in high-quality military mobile generators and auxiliary power units. Its products are state-of-the art, innovative and efficient electrical power systems which offer the customer the ultimate combination of performance, versatility and reliability.

All types of power-related products are supplied, such as generators ranging from 1 kW to 1 MW, onboard vehicle APU’s (AC and DC), pumps, welders, mobile battery chargers and 28 V DC generators, aircraft starting units and ground power units as well as electrical distribution systems, splitter boxes and feeder pillars. Military shelter and container installations and refurbishments are also undertaken with Mobile Laundry Units a speciality.

Military Electronics Systems

CMCA design and manufacture electronics systems to the highest RFI/EMC requirements and hardened to the demands of the harshest battlefield conditions, they can also be fully integrated with all other CMCA products including air-conditioning systems and generators.

The very latest diesel engines and alternators combine with purpose designed and built control panels to provide all of the functionality and performance sought by the customers’ system specification.

Stand alone, bespoke PCBI microprocessor control and monitoring systems can also be supplied.

Research and Development

With innovative, high-tech proprietary applications developed to satisfy specific customer requirements CMCA’s design engineering teams ensure the company continues to offer ground-breaking technological flexibility.

The company has the expertise and equipment capability to carry out research, development, design and production of vehicle mounted and free standing electrical power generation, electrical distribution, lighting, air conditioning, dehumidification, heating and cooling equipment as well as vehicle and high mobility systems.

The latest 3D modelling engineering software is used for concept design and analysis and in-house testing covers electrical function and safety, limited EMC, hot and cold chamber testing, audio noise testing as well as drop and topple/robustness testing.

And the close proximity of military test ranges enables off-road mobility testing and additional in-field audio noise testing.
