Battery & Charging Solutions Specialist

Established in 1986 and accredited to ISO9001:2008, DMS technologies has been providing portable power solutions to customers in aviation, defence, (military and homeland security), transport, including specialist vehicle installations, motorsport, marine, rail and telecommunications. Our 18000sqft production and warehousing facility in Romsey, Hants., ensures that we can meet the majority of our customers’ requirements in house.

As the appointed Value Added Distributor in the UK and Ireland for Enersys, we benefit from the technical and commercial support of this global battery manufacturer. Our business activities fall into three categories of custom design & build, DMS branded products and distributed products.

Military Batteries

Our technical team has extensive knowledge and experience of the various battery technologies and can develop and manufacture battery and charging solutions to meet your specific requirements. Our capabilities include energy harvesting systems such as solar and wind power systems. A recent contract involved the upgrade of the powerpacks for the Dillon Minigun installed on Royal Navy ships.

Military Portable Power Supply Units

DMS technologies manufactures and supplies its own range of portable power packs. Our engine start packs for either 24V or 12V vehicles (including aeroplanes, helicopters, armoured fighting vehicles, HGVs, vans and cars) and are in service with military customers, vehicle fleet operators and emergency recovery organisations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Far East. We have a contract with the UK MoD for 12V and 24V engine start packs for Class A and Class B vehicles and a number of our products are NATO codified.

We also manufacture portable remote silent power units for use with surveillance and communications equipment in use with police, homeland security units and traffic management systems. Housed in rugged plastic cases these compact remote power units are silent in operation, do not emit exhaust gases as with generators, and can be secreted, even buried, during operation.

DMS technologies is also the producer of the Varley Red Top™ motorsport battery range, Red Flash™ high rate and Red Flash deep cycle batteries for the specialist vehicle and marine markets.

Our knowledge of providing battery power in more extreme, rugged environments has enabled us to supply Network Rail with trackside power solutions for signalling applications such as points switching and level crossings as well as for the TPWS (Train Protection Warning System).

We are the appointed Enersys Value Added Distributor for the UK & Ireland and supported commercially and technically by Enersys for their range of AGM (absorbed glass mat) technology sealed lead acid batteries including Cyclon, Genesis, Odyssey , Datasafe, and Powersafe SBS. DMS technologies also distributes the Lifeline range of premium deep cycle batteries for marine, specialist vehicle and RV applications. We also supply other battery technology products including NiMH, Lithium and NiCd with chargers to suit.
