Enterprise Control Systems Ltd

For more than two decades, Enterprise Control Systems Ltd (ECS) has used ground-breaking technological expertise in surveillance and RF jamming disciplines to develop innovative system solutions to counter the latest and ever-increasing security threats.

Aircraft Downlink TransmittersAircraft Downlink Transmitters

ECS Downlink Transmitters can operate from both rotary and fixed wing platforms, they are optimised for Military and Police surveillance use, providing high quality link continuity, allowing for superior range and the picture quality can be in both standard definition (SD) or high definition (HD) formats. The multicast transmission allows for low latency real-time imagery, audio and GPS data.

A proprietary substitution cipher system is used as standard encryption.  A higher level of encryption using 256 bit AES cipher block chaining and proprietary special enforcing functions is available subject to export licence control outside the EU.

Digital Ground Transmitters

Digital Ground TransmittersAll ECS standard links are compatible with the airborne downlinks and are available in both  standard definition (SD) or high definition (HD) formats.

The Ground links can be used in multicast mode utilising omni directional antennas or in the point-to-point mode using directional antenna. The transmitters can vary in size and power output, depending on the tactical requirement.

Typically ECS ground transmitters can be utilised in covert or overt roles directly to a ground station or via the airborne platform for retransmission.  Guardian, Patriot and Sentry systems operate in set bands between 1.2 GHz and 5.4 GHz. Snoopy operates in set bands between 320 MHz and 450 MHz

Digital Receivers

Digital ReceiversHandy-view,  VLDR-IF Uplink,  Briefcase,  Mobile Base station, Base station, Macro-View Receivers operate in set bands between 1.2 GHz and 5.4 GHz. All receivers are compatible with ECS airborne downlinks and ground transmitters. The receivers vary in size and capability, this allows for rack mounted ground equipment to be installed either remotely or into an operational Headquarters.

Pelicase mobile and handheld receivers provide command elements with real time images allowing for reliable command and control. All ECS receivers have an option to be upgraded to diversity reception. This is a technique used to improve range up to a factor of x 2 by using two antennas in slightly different locations feeding a dual input on the receiver.

OEM Equipment - Turnkey System Solutions

OEM equipment - WaspECS can provide system planning case studies to decide on the viability of use, path analysis, system design and integration of any OEM equipment. Turnkey system solutions successfully completed in the past have included major fixed link networks and multiple vehicle systems fully equipped for riot police operations, as well as providing COFDM Downlink systems for the 2008 Olympic Games. More recently ECS  has developed its next generation network voting systems.

The voting system can be designed to cater for multiple air platforms, and  is used to select the best real time video signal available from multiple receiving sites. The video signal, once received at the receiver station is then converted to Internet Protocol (IP) before being delivered securely and bandwidth efficiently, across a network to a viewing point of the customers choosing. Control of the system can be achieved remotely, using the customer’s own network.

For remote sites ECS can provide a number of solutions utilising Base stations and Guardsman 8 or 10GHz microwave links or fibre optical cable options. In some of our most recently delivered systems, a mixture of techniques have been employed for system redundancy and to aid in the delivery the video product to the desired location. All systems solutions provide end-to-end encryption to maximise security.

EVENLODE Data Terminal

EVENLODE Data TerminalThe most recent and technologically advanced COFDM product designed and manufactured by ECS is the EVENLODE data terminal.

EVENLODE utilises the latest compression techniques and interfaces to deliver bidirectional data, in IP format, using resilient COFDM modulation techniques and is designed to be integrated into UAV, fixed and rotary wing platforms.

 RF Inhibitors

ECS has designed and manufactured a wide range of RF inhibitors (RF Jammers) and is able to offer the latest Digital Jamming Systems technology solutions as countermeasures against Remotely Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIEDs). The range of RCIED Jammers includes ultra portable units to cover cell phone networks and full band portable and vehicle–mounted systems. The latter includes covert antenna configurations that can be discreetly mounted in vehicles for mobile deployment. Applications include  Force and VIP Protection,  military personnel, and counter improvised explosive device operations.

The Griffin - Wide Frequency Range Jamming

The Griffin - Wide Frequency Range JammingThe Griffin has been introduced to provide wide frequency range jamming including 3G and Wireless LAN as a counter measure against the increased use of mobile phone technologies to detonate RCIEDs. The Griffin mounted vehicle system is a highly flexible digital system, utilising DDS technology, enabling the operator to programme the generated signal power against targets in the radio bands, cellular phone bands and WLAN  (2.4GHz, 5.2GHz and 5.8GHz).

Falcon Plus/3G - Falcon Plus – DDS (Direct Digital Synthesis), Software Configurable Jammer including GSM and 3G Frequency Jamming.  FALCON PLUS is a twin channel, 50 Watts per channel, 10 Watts GSM and 20 Watts 3G wide band field proven Jammer designed for rapid vehicle deployment. The pre-programmed data fill is developed utilising  bespoke threat analysis that aims to  address the RCIED threat in a specific theatre of operations.

The Kestrel - Portable Jammer

The Kestrel - Portable JammerThe Kestrel Family of programmable  DDS man portable (3kg less battery) jammers.  The Kestrel architecture enables the rapid mission programming in demanding flexible threat environments in 4 x units:

Kestrel Alpha – 20 – 520 MHz
Kestrel Bravo – 500 – 950 MHz
Kestrel Charlie – 3G/WLAN
Kestrel Delta – GSM 900/1800

The system is fully integrated and includes a battery docking interface compatible with LIPS5 and LIPS9 lithium ion batteries, providing fully autonomous operation for 4 hours.  The Kestrel is equipped with an integral GPS and highly efficient fan enabling operation in testing thermal environments.
(Purchase of RF inhibitors may be subject to export license approval).
