Marshall Land Systems Background
Marshall Land Systems (MLS), headquartered in Cambridge, provides land systems capabilities. MLS specialises in rapid deployment and through-life capability management for military, counter terrorist and civil emergency operations. MLS provides full support to users in the UK and overseas.
MLS comprises of four companies and one joint venture:
•Marshall Specialist Vehicles (MSV), which provides protected workspace solutions such as field hospitals, workshops, command posts, control rooms and ground control stations in integrated and vehicle-borne shelters
•Marshall Vehicle Engineering (MVE), which provides protected logistics based on crew and load protection
•Marshall SDG (MSDG), which provides UGVs, UAV ground control stations, rapid solutions to urgent operational and capa¬bility requirements and capability development
•Marshall Fleet Solutions (MFS), which provides fleet management, customer-based main¬tenance and repair solutions across multi-type vehicle and platform fleets
•MLS has recently embarked upon a joint venture agreement with Plasan; one of the world’s leading protection system providers. Incorporated within a sovereign UK registered company, the Joint Venture unites Plasan’s armouring and protection skills with MLS’s project management and platform integration capabilities.

MFS, formerly known as Marshall Thermo King, was founded in 1972 and also incorporates MTK tail lifts. The revised name reflects diversification and re-organisation of the company. The company now specialises in fleet management, providing sales and after-sales support for vehicle-mounted temperature control units, tail-lifts and trailers and commercial trucks and trailers. With around 166 fully equipped mobile engineers on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, MFS offers unrivalled nationwide support to the MoD, the Commercial Transport Industry and many of the country’s largest retailers. MFS has a highly skilled and knowledgeable technical team of who are able to attend an in house City and Guilds accredited training school. Marshall’s centrally located training facility is the only UK training centre of its kind; offering a total hands on approach to training staff on tail lift and refrigeration equipment.
MFS operates a central stock location, a nationwide parts delivery service and 19 different service locations. To facilitate the services that MFS has to offer a central operations call centre is used to task and deploy the mobile engineers to depots, customer facilities and roadside assistance. The call centre is also available to non contract customers and takes approximately 40,000 calls a year.

Defence Transport Refrigeration
As the UK’s largest Mobile Refrigeration Network, MFS are fully trained and equipped to take on all customer refrigeration and air conditioning requirements.
Capabilities comprise of:
•166 mobile engineers trained to carry our diesel, hydraulic, electrical, refrigeration, climate control, and mechanical repairs
•Transport refrigeration equipment, service repair and management
•Ability to build commercial vehicle air conditioning systems for both cabin and cargo
•Portable cold store equipment including the container structure and ancillary equipment

Tail Lifts
