Through Life Capability Management (TLCM)

Marshall Land Systems (MLS) continuously undertakes governance activities to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, safety and environmental law.  Case and asset management is undertaken to ensure constant capability provision.  Capability sustainment is further assured through user training needs analysis and provision plus supply chain management to ensure continuity of spare parts.  Continuous contact with end users ensures that no aspect of capability provision and sustainment is ignored. 

UK MoD Key Supplier Assessment

Power Pack Repair Facility (PPRF): Working with the DS&TE project team, Marshall Specialist Vehicles has regenerated and refurbished a number of PPRFs extensively for operations in Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq. In the most recent UK MoD Key Suppliers Assessment, Marshall Land Systems and its subsidiary companies achieved a key supplier assessment of 8.7 out of 10 against an industry average of 7.5.

Delivery and Support

To ensure effective delivery and support of products and services, Marshall Land Systems have equipment Regeneration, Sustainment and Fleet Management.  Marshall Land Systems offer a full service customer equipment acceptance area as well as full ILS/TLCM support capability, Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Supply Network Management (SNM).  

Capability Support Solutions

HET Trailer: Marshall Specialist vehicles recently completed the refurbishment of a King HET Trailer for the MoD on behalf of KBR.  Marshall Specialist Vehicle’s extensive design and engineering capability enabled the material analysis required to bring the HET back into service.Capability Support Solutions is an integral part of Marshall Land System’s corporate structure and strategy.  This core area of the company is a provider of service throughout the military procurement and equipment delivery system. 

Tasked to enable and sustain the end user’s operational capability by providing an exceptional standard in bespoke support solutions, Capability Support Solutions deploy a number of capabilities to support the end user.  These include Post Design Services, Contractor Logistics Support, Whole Fleet Management, Training, Maintenance, Spares and Obsolescence, Sustainment, Mid-life Upgrades and a 24 hour call centre.  The aim is to provide the highest possible availability of capable equipment and flexibility of resource.

Any support solution seeks to enable the users to achieve and sustain maximum deployment, capability, system availability and cost effectiveness through the life of the programme. However, no two programmes exist in the same operational environment; logistics supply, maintenance environment and commercial considerations always differ.  Marshall Land Systems approach is to work with all stakeholders as early as possible in the program lifecycle and then maintain or improve the capability through the life of the equipment.

Capability Support Team has the following skills available to help provide capability support to end users:

Portable Tyre Repair Facility (PTRF): Marshall Specialist Vehicles have made significant modifications to the PTRF in order to achieve the safe operation of the system against a very tight programme deadline.  MSV achieved JATE certification for the system.  • Technical queries, investigation & engineering support (TIES). Optional 24/7 help line.

Operational Support

Marshall Specialist Vehicles, a Marshall Land Systems company, undertakes Whole Fleet Management for fleets of the PPRF, certain EOD robots and containerised systems including Deployable Machine Shop and Battery Charger systems. Marshall Specialist Vehicle’s aim is to meet guaranteed readiness criteria where required and improve on both the criteria and their achievement as the programme develops.

Support extends overseas and includes theatres of operation and a full time presence in Afghanistan as well as specific missions to undertake specialist tasks as required.

Regeneration

Marshall Specialist Vehicles has a multi skilled work force and is very experienced in equipment regeneration which is supported by a 24hr call out centre and extensive workshop facilities; all backed up by a customer support team that offers TLCM. With expert capabilities the regeneration service provides a quality and cost effective service to customers.

Work is carried out across many platforms and prime movers.  Marshall Specialist Vehicles has the capability and design resource to refurbish not only its own products but also equipment from other suppliers.

Marshall Fleet Solutions, a Marshall Land Systems company, specialises in fleet management, providing sales and after-sales support for vehicle-mounted temperature control units, tail-lifts, vehicles and trailers. 

The Marshall Fleet Solutions Fleet Management team has the right skills, experience and technology to provide the best fleet management available.  Drawing on its commercial activity Marshall Fleet Solutions undertake a variety of fleet management projects.  These range from straight forward component maintenance to full service of the largest of platforms and routine maintenance of tyres and trailers.  

Marshall Fleet Solutions has a highly experienced and dedicated workforce who aims to provide the customer with excellent service.  The team are efficient and sensitive in managing requests and are competent in supervising large scale and complex fleet requirements.

Down selected companies form team to bid for Canadian DND SEV Kitting Programme to fit out in excess of 800 DND Shelters.
Cambridge, 13th September 2011;  To meet the growing requirements for power Marshall Land Systems in partnership with Nordic Power is showing a prototype silent diesel fuel cell generator fitted to its Trakkar® Unmanned Ground Vehicle.  The UGV and generator will be on stand SD-7 in the UV area at DSEi being held at ExCeL from 13 to 16 September.
Vehicle completion is one of Marshall Land Systems core skills.
