Security firm lands key order for hook and line gear.

A specialist security firm is celebrating after landing its biggest single order to date to China.   Strings Security will supply 28 sets of second-generation hook and line equipment for use by bomb disposal teams throughout the North-east of the country under the £50,000 order, secured through the firm’s Shanghai sales agency.   “Our success in gaining this order proves the value of retaining a good agent locally and of being able to supply premium quality equipment,” said Roger Ings, founder and Managing Director of Strings Security Ltd, based in Horsham, West Sussex, which offers solutions in counter-terrorism and other specialist security services.   “China sells plenty of its own brands but our agent insists on Western equipment because of its proven technology and pedigree and we have sourced the hook and line items from one of the world leaders in the field.”   Strings Security runs a portfolio of public and private sector clients including Blue Chips such as the NHS, The Prison Service, MoD, Canary Wharf, Kuehne & Nagel, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Welsh Water, Statoil, Norfolk Constabulary, Police Service Northern Ireland, Sri Lanka Police, construction giant M W Kellogg and DHL.   Set up by Roger Ings nearly 20 years ago on his retirement from Sussex Police, the company initially provided explosive search and related training but has since diversified and expanded to include the supply of security-related training, bespoke security services teams and a broad range of frontline and back-up equipment and accessories.   Roger also sat on the expert working group to set up the National Operating Standards for Security Search and the firm provided training for security personnel at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
