Kromek exhibits around the world in March 2024

  • Date: 6th March 2024
  • Company: Kromek

Mari Tuomela, Kromek’s Head of Sales (EMEA & APAC), will lead a delegation to the CBRNe Summit Europe at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill, Budapest, Hungary (Stand 23) between March 11-13th. At this event, Kromek will be partnered with one of its key distributors, ProdataKFT and will exhibit its range of hand-held detectors. The newest D5 RIID with the additional probe for detecting Alpha and Beta isotopes will make its European debut. The D3 variants of detectors will also be on display. They are being used in Ukraine and are included in the RescEU citizen safeguarding programme. The devices’ small form factor, endurance, resilience and networked capability are already proving to be essential in this complex security environment.

Back in the UK, Kromek will join the cream of the security community for the UK Government’s annual Security and Policing event on March 12-14th at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre (Stand C22). Kromek’s Commercial Director Craig Duff and Sales Manager Angus De Villiers will be demonstrating the entire suite of handheld detectors including latest software for integration with unmanned ground vehicle (UGVs) along with the brand new tactical deployment detector station for the D3 product range.

Meanwhile in Kromek’s second home market, the United States of America, John Filby, Head of Sales (US), will be representing the company at the Defense Strategies Institute Joint Civil & DoD CBRN Symposium on March 13-14th in Washington DC. He will demonstrate the full range of handheld and static detectors to the US military and civilian audience.

That same week, Kromek advisor Dr Alex Walmsley will be attending WM Symposia 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona, where the worldwide management of radioactive materials is discussed.

Kromek’s Commercial Director Craig Duff reflects: “Attending these international events, in three different countries, shows that Kromek has a broad approach to the global market and its range of products, to meet multiple threat issues, has a receptive audience amongst CBRN professionals. We can also see the commonality between international military and security forces as they work together to counter the risk of radiological incidents. Kromek’s devices’ many different configurations provide the most modern, cost effective and easily used radiation detection capability,”
