Kromek sponsors MAKE UK breakfasts at DSEI 2025
Kromek Group plc, the leading developer of advanced radiation detection technology, will sponsor the breakfast in the MAKE UK Defence pavilion (N4-110, from 0830-0900) on the first three days of the international defence and security exhibition DSEI 2025 at the Excel Centre, London, next week (9-11 September 2025).
Senior Kromek executives, including CEO Dr Arnab Basu, Director of Products and Programmes Craig Duff and Strategy, Commercial Director Michael Stephenson and Head of Biotechnology, Jamie Marsay, will be in the pavilion each morning to demonstrate Kromek’s radiological and biological threat detection capabilities to the attendees from the global CBRN sector and representatives of national governments, armed forces and international agencies.
Kromek are delighted to announce that their D5 RIID will be integrated into Digital Concepts Engineering (DCE)’s X series all-terrain unmanned ground vehicle on stand N-260. DCE are specialists in the design, development and production of robotic control systems and uncrewed vehicles. DCE’s robotic and remote controlled technologies allow machines to operate safely in hazardous or toxic environments. This complements the core mission of Kromek’s radiation detectors: to detect radioactive materials with speed and precision from the greatest possible distance, ensuring the safety and security of both people and their surroundings.
The Kromek team will also be engaging in one-to-one meetings with a range of platform providers. Their focus will be on promoting the variety of applications for the detectors, which can be used internally or externally on both crewed and uncrewed platforms. The D5 RIID remains Kromek’s most powerful and accurate detector of its size, with options to use it as a body-worn, static or robot/uncrewed-carried device. The D3M and D3S ID detectors are smaller in size but still offer unparalleled levels of accuracy and sensitivity. Both types of detectors offer networked capability for rapid reachback: for data harvesting, processing and analysis at distant sites and command centres.
Commenting on Kromek’s participation at DSEI, Craig Duff said: “DSEI is an excellent week where we can meet with many of our current and potential customers, partners and suppliers from around the world and demonstrate the adaptability and versatility of our radiation detectors. At this event we will focus on how we can integrate our devices onto a wide range of uncrewed and uncrewed platforms.”
