UPSL launches the 5000/TP – the most advanced compact three-phase UPS

Uninterruptible Power Supplies, A Kohler Company, today released the first images of the all-new and ultra compact PowerWAVE 5000/TP UPS System. The advanced 5000/TP is designed to raise customers’ expectations for a UPS in this class, through a combination of advanced technology and precision engineering.

The PowerWAVE 5000/TP represents the next generation of efficient power protection products for UPSL and is the latest addition to the company’s highly acclaimed, 3-phase modular UPS range.

The new product has been designed specifically for low to medium density critical applications and features several new innovations to deliver the industry’s best key values – including enhanced power performance and class leading energy efficiency, combined with both a small physical and carbon footprint.

"The exciting new 5000/TP is an important model for us", said Justin Lucas, Technical Manager for UPSL. "We understand that downtime is simply not an option for our customers – continuous protection is essential – and in today’s dynamic IT environments, resilient and easily adaptable power protection concepts are vital. The 5000/TP has these objectives at its core, and with up to 98% percent efficiency available in eco-mode, represents the most efficient and technically advanced UPS we´ve ever launched for this power range. Like its bigger sisters, the 8000DPA and the 9000DPA, the new 5000/TP is expected to attract a larger number of new customers to UPSL.” he continued.

Leading Technology

The 5000/TP is unmistakably a member of UPSL’s PowerWAVE family and follows the attractive design of its bigger siblings. However, it’s what’s on the inside which counts and the 5000/TP is packed with advanced technology.

Designed primarily for server rooms and data centres, the PowerWAVE 5000/TP delivers premium power protection for today’s high density blade servers and other power hungry hardware. The parallelable  product is available in seven different power ratings: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50kVA and offers the lowest cost of ownership of any UPS system – combining energy efficiency, scalable flexibility, high availability, as well as cost effective and easy serviceability.

The all-in-one solution includes true online double conversion (VFI = Voltage Frequency Independent), a power distribution module, a manual maintenance bypass, a static thyristor bypass, intelligent battery management and space for internal batteries to deliver complete protection in one box. The compact design, outstanding cost-efficiency and reliability make 5000/TP the ideal solution for server rooms, networks, telecom, healthcare, banking and industrial applications.
