Using highly engineered textile designs, our solutions safeguard personnel, assets, and infrastructure in some of the world’s most demanding conditions. Our customers include military, paramilitary, law enforcement, and security organizations, alongside select commercial operators. All product development and headquarters functions are based in Finland, with manufacturing in our fully owned facilities in Estonia to ensure full supply chain control.

Since 2002, Frictape has been the global leader in helideck and flight deck safety systems. Our perimeter safety nets and landing nets are deployed on over 2,000 offshore helidecks and naval vessel flight decks worldwide. These systems are designed to:

• Prevent personnel from falling overboard during operations in harsh weather.
   
• Provide optimal friction for helicopter landings and protect flight deck coating against wear and tear during e.g. repeated training flights.

We also manufacture helideck lighting systems, installed on both commercial and navy vessels, and offer global installation and maintenance support.

In 2025, responding to direct requests from defense sector customers, we adapted our proven netting technology to build solution to protect high value assets against hits from hostile drones and UAVs. The result is SpiderNet – the world’s first fully passive C-UAS physical barrier, capable of stopping and neutralizing modern UAVs weighing hundreds of kilograms and traveling at high velocities. Designed as the last line of defense when active measures fail, SpiderNet can be configured in virtually any size or shape to protect high-value military assets, installations, and critical infrastructure from hostile UAS attacks.
