- Cross Gantry Hoist (XGH™)
- Twin Gantry Hoist (TGH™)
In 2005, SSL established a first of its kind Survival Training Simulation Theater (STST™) and R&D Center at its headquarters in Nova Scotia, Canada. The STST™ is a natural extension of SSL’s product lines and was introduced as a smart integrated and controlled venue to incorporate Environmental Training Aids that enrich students’ training experiences to best prepare for a real water mishap.
Environmental Training Aids are used to simulate open sea conditions to enhance training and include simulators and systems such as:
- Wind Fan System
- Wave System
- Rain Effects System
- Audio Effects System including soundtracks for helicopter, emergency alarms, warnings, etc.
- Visual Effects System (lightning, search lights, etc.) including:
- Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System
- Fog Effects System
- Helicopter Rescue Training Simulator (HRTS)
- Personnel Rescue Hoist
- Down Wash Fans
- Smart Facility Integrated Control System (ICS™) for METS®, Personnel-Rated Lift System, Environmental Training Aids
- Emergency Stops for Facility and Training Simulator Systems
- Simulated Chute Evacuation Trainer (SCET™)
- Parachute Drag, Drop, Disentanglement
- Shallow Water Initial Memory Mechanical Exit Release (SWIMMER™)
- Shallow Water Egress Trainer (SWET) and Modular SWET (MSWET)
- Water Current System
- Swing Rope Simulator
Survival Systems Limited is in the business of saving lives. Persons involved in water mishaps have provided testimony that training in a METS® was instrumental in enabling them to survive actual aircraft ditchings. We have been contracted by militaries worldwide on the basis of urgent requirement and sole source, proudly being designated as the “one and only responsible supplier”. To name only a few, SSL is the chosen contractor for all services of the Australian and United States Armed Forces.
